SN Travel Attends the Launch of “Unique Properties GEMS of Antigua and Barbuda” Guide
Discover the real Antigua and Barbuda!
SN Travel were recently lucky enough to be invited by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority to attend the London launch of their fantastic new guide “Unique Properties GEMS of Antigua and Barbuda”. The event took place at The Pelham Hotel on 16th November with Minister of Tourism for Antigua and Barbuda the Honourable Asot Michael in attendance along with the ministry’s Compliance and Accommodations Officer – Dulcie Looby-Greene who spearheaded the campaign.
The aim of this wonderful and insightful guide is to help promote independent properties in both Antigua and Barbuda, and in turn showcase a more authentic experience for visitors to the islands. The guide features a collection of small independent hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts and villas throughout Antigua and Barbuda, all owned and operated by local islanders and all of which offer a genuinely warm and personal experience.
Properties range from the more sophisticated to the simple and affordable and each offers a real home from home experience for visitors. Guests are guaranteed an authentic taste of Antigua and Barbuda and will find themselves immersed into the real island life with their affable hosts.
In his official speech at the launch, Minister of Tourism for Antigua and Barbuda said that he believed this collection of unique properties will “showcase a new dimension for our destination” and will ensure that “tourism will benefit all sectors of our economy and society”.
The head of this exciting campaign – Compliance and Accommodations Officer Dulcie Looby-Greene expressed her delight that the guide had finally come to fruition and that “these smaller gems of Antigua and Barbuda finally have a platform in which to promote themselves to the world”.
We were really pleased to be able to meet some of the wonderful property owners featured in the Unique Properties GEMS of Antigua and Barbuda guide whilst at the launch, who each in turn presented their lovely properties and outlined some of their added value elements that set them aside from the rest. Mrs Lorilyn Walker represented the Lamblion Apartments and highlighted the excellent car rental service they offered whilst Mrs Shirmique Jeffers Salmon from Connie’s Comfort Suites revealed the fantastic market tours they offer. Mrs Jaqueline Cort-Thomas from The Villas at Sunset Land revealed the lovely cookery classes she offers at her property whilst Mr Roger Lewis from South Coast Horizons outlined their unique visits to the mangroves.
SN Travel are delighted to announce that we will be working closely with the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority in promoting these wonderful and unique GEMS to the UK travel market, bringing to our customers the opportunity to enjoy a most authentic and enjoyable experience of the islands of Antigua and Barbuda. We understand that not everyone wants to stay in one of the larger holiday resorts and that there are many travellers who prefer to enjoy a true taste of island life, who love to meet the local people and who are perhaps looking for a more affordable and independent kind of holiday to Antigua and Barbuda.
We will shortly be launching a dedicated section to our website devoted to these wonderful and unique GEMS of Antigua and Barbuda so please watch this space!
