Jamaica Wedding Photographer Costs

It’s easy for details such as wedding photography to become eclipsed by the venue, transport or even food when planning a wedding abroad. However, prioritising photography is an essential part of your destination wedding planning. Photography will be the keepsake you remember forever, and photographs of your resort wedding will take you back on the emotional journey over and over again in the years to come.  Thankfully, you will be delighted to know that Jamaica is home to some of the most talented photographers in the Caribbean. The even better news is that they are on average far cheaper than in the UK. Costing on average ÂŁ1325 for the day, that’s ÂŁ400 cheaper than the UK (ÂŁ1780).

The best news of all? Don’t worry about researching or speaking to photographers before flying out. If you book a wedding package through SN Travel, we will appoint you a wedding planner on location who can make recommendations for you – many wedding packages also include a photographer that is most recommended.

Jamaica Wedding Videographer Costs

A wedding videographer will capture all the special moments of your wedding day from many different perspectives. Your big day will go so quickly, a videographer will make sure you won’t miss a thing!  You’ll be glad to know that hiring a videographer in Jamaica is far cheaper than in the UK. Let’s face it – a wedding is one big party, and what’s a party without an amazing soundtrack? If a Jamaican wedding is on the cards, you’ll be delighted to know that Jamaica is home to some of the most talented musicians on earth. While you might struggle to book a Bob Marley or Sean Paul, Jamaica has a wonderfully diverse range of DJs and bands ready to bring your wedding to life. The even better news? A Jamaican DJ costs roughly half the price of a DJ back in the UK. Our study found that the cost of DJ in Jamaica was approximately ÂŁ538, while in the UK, you’re looking at spending ÂŁ1,161 for the evening.

While the savings may not be quite as significant as the other categories we studied, you can still save a considerable amount of money hiring a Jamaican florist. Costing on average ÂŁ1,184, you can save just over ÂŁ200 compared to the UK at ÂŁ1,397.   Don’t forget – our wedding packages usually include flowers, buttonholes and bouquets for the bridesmaids. You will be able to choose from a beautiful selection to match your colour scheme. This is likely to be included at no extra charge.

Jamaica Florist Cost

Flowers are a key component of a wedding, adding colour, texture and theme to your day. If you want to ensure your wedding event theme matches the glorious tropical backdrop, then we suggest hiring a local florist. Offering beautifully bright flowers, perfect for a wedding in any season, a local florist also has the advantage of providing native blooms like the wild orchid.

Jamaica Officiant Cost

Jamaica is filled with an interesting variety of interesting characters ready to declare you as husband and wife. Thankfully, you will be delighted to know that Jamaica is home to some of the cheapest officiants in the world. Costing on average £187 per ceremony, that’s nearly £800 cheaper than the UK at £920 per ceremony. Many of our brides take their own minister from the UK, so we can also arrange this for you if that’s what you want to do.

A makeup artist is a key part of your big day to ensure you look and feel amazing. A professional makeup artist knows everything that needs to be done to ensure that you will be the glowing bride you deserve to be.

The savings here may not be quite as significant as the other categories we studied, but you can still save a substantial amount of money hiring a Jamaican makeup artist. Costing on average ÂŁ74, you can save just over ÂŁ40 compared to the UK at ÂŁ115.   Our wedding packages often include this as part of the service, however if you have other ideas in mind your wedding planner will be able to recommend a selection of highly skilled makeup artists – ensuring you will look and feel beautiful.

On average, our study found that a Jamaican hairstylist cost £138. Compared to the UK’s average of £208, that’s a saving of nearly £80 (but this is often included in your wedding package so you will likely get this for free).

The added benefit of a destination wedding is that you don’t have to fork out for a honeymoon – and let’s face it, your guests will love a holiday in Jamaica!

Additional Costs and Extras

We know that there’s a lot more that goes into a wedding than just the eight costs that we’ve discussed. That’s why we’ve included an ‘Extras’ column which takes into account the fixed costs that you’d be purchasing in the UK, such as:

  • Wedding dress
  • Rings
  • Wedding cake
  • Groom’s suit
  • Stationery
  • Bridesmaids dresses
  • Groomsmen suits

It’s also nice to plan a day out for the whole wedding party so you can create memories that you will treasure forever – it’s not everyday that you are on holiday with everyone one that is important to you! Jamaica has so much to see and so, see the most popular attractions in Jamaica.

The cost of wedding extras

Conclusion

In total, we’ve deduced that a Jamaican destination wedding costs on average ÂŁ16,218 compared to the UK average at ÂŁ23,141.  Getting married in Jamaica will reduce the cost of your wedding by about 30% according to our research – keep in mind this is comparing costs like for like. In actual fact you will save much more as many aspects covered above will be included in a destination wedding package so will likely be free of charge or significantly cheaper that the costs mentioned above. In addition, Jamaica is our top holiday destination so  we can ensure we get you favourable rates.

Recently used SN Travel for the second time to help us with our annual holiday The booking process with Laura was great as always but everything after that was very poor. The hotel we stayed at was in the middle of a major upgrade with work starting early in the morning and lasting all day. It was noisy and dusty and not how I want to spend my holiday. The work was right outside our room and all round the swimming pool, see photos. Whilst I fully understand that this is not the fault of SN Travel other holiday makers had been warned and either moved to other buildings on the complex or changed hotels. Either SN Travel decided not to tell us this or they are not very well informed by their local agent. Either way you should question why you need to use them rather than go direct to the hotel or book online Our transfer from the airport, which they organised, was also a shambles but again they are taking no responsibility for that either. Make your own judgement as to whether you want to use this company, I think there are many better ones out there. We certainly won’t ever use them again

Sntravel exceeded the dream. We recently had 78 passengers in our group who booked with SNTravel to travel to Antigua for a 60th birthday staying at St James's Club and other parts of the island. Yvonne made the dream become the reality, dilligently working to accommodate everyone's need. An exceptional job and everyone has said until the next time. Thank Andrew & Dawn

My recent travel was sadly horrendous. The issues start with information for my flight to my hotel stay. I had to email and call SN for my final holiday details as my date for travelling were nearing. This filled me with anxiety. My hotel itinerary was different to my friends, I had room only booked with no breakfast meal, the lift to our hotel floor was not working properly, there was no one to help us with our luggage to our room on the 18th floor, we had no hot water to shower after travelling for hours, I could not close the blinds to my window, so was completely disposed to all to see me in my room, the room itself was not very clean. My friends in another room also experienced the same issues as well, and we spoke with other guests who were equally disappointed. We complained almost every day, and eventually spoke to the hotel director Bill Russell (that's the name he gave us) Bill informed us that a waiver of 1 nights stay would be returned to us as soon as SN travel were contacted and informed. Sad to say this was my first time using SN and will be the last. DO NOT GO TO THE MANHATTAN AT TIMES SQUARE HOTEL!!! This place needs to be completely refurbished. We await to find out if we will have further contact with SN Travel & The Manhattan.
